One of the methods used in obesity and metabolic surgery is gastric sleeve (stomach reduction) surgery. The stomach is reduced in size during the operation. Laparoscopic surgery is used during the procedure to remove a large portion of the stomach. The procedure is known as sleeve gastrectomy surgery since the remaining stomach resembles a tube. Since the surgery has doone laparoscopically, no special care is required. The person can take care of oneself while in the hospital. In desk jobs, patient could go work in a week after the surgery however patient works in a physically demanding job, returning time may take up to one month. The patients benefit greatly in terms of aesthetic appearance since this operation has done laparoscopically. The scars fade away within a few months of the operation.

How Long Should International Patients Stay For Surgery?
