Abdominoplasty in Turkey

Abdominoplasty is a aesthetic surgery performed to correct loosening of the abdominal muscles caused by excessive weight gain and loss, deformation of the abdominal fat tissue, and sagging after birth.

Why Should I have Tummy Tuck Surgery?

Diet and exercise are mostly ineffective in cases of excessive skin sagging. A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is recommended in this case.

How Is Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck Surgery) Has Done?

A V-shaped incision is usually made, and after the excess skin and fat are removed, a hidden stitches is placed under the skin. The surgery is finished once the dressing is applied. Fluid accumulation may occur in the area of the incisions, and a drain is placed on the patient to remove these fluids from the body. These inserted drains are removed after two days in the hospital. The operation time varies from person to person. It can take between 2 and 5 hours.

What Should Be Done Before And After The Surgery?

● If the patient has given birth a year must elapse.
● If the patient has had a previous illness, surgery, or is taking regular medications, she/he should definitely inform her/his doctor.
● The patient should stop smoking or drinking alcohol one month before the operation.
● Swelling, bruising and pain may occur immediately after tummy tuck surgery.
● After the operation, a special corset must be worn for 15 days ater the operation.
● Heavy sports and activies should be avoided for a month.
● You must wait at least one year for pregnancy after the tummy tuck operation. You can then become pregnant.

What Is The Recovery Process?

From the sixth month of the operation, overall swelling begins to subside.
